Word of the Year for 2025: Rejuvenate

December 29, 2024

Heather Arra

See Ya 2024!

Every year, I pick one word to focus on, something to guide me through the next 12 months with intention. But honestly, 2024? It’s been a ride.

It’s been one of the toughest years of my life—mentally and emotionally.

My first year of marriage has been amazing, but it comes with its own set of challenges. Between opposite work schedules, figuring out the “what’s for dinner?” question, and finding time for date nights, it’s been a whirlwind.

I’ve also been diving headfirst into my business and learning from a few mistakes along the way. On top of that, there’s been so much happening personally—things most people don’t see behind the scenes.

There were nights when I felt overwhelmed and drained, trying to balance work, life, and everything in between.

But you know what?

Every time I felt like I couldn’t keep going, I pulled myself together and kept pushing—because that’s just who I am. I powered through, even when it felt like I was at my limit.

Pushing Through the Hard Days

There were definitely moments of doubt. I wondered if I was doing enough or if I was enough—typical type-A stuff, right? But even on those days, I kept showing up, doing my best. I dedicated so much time to my business, staying focused on the belief that it would all come together.

This year, I had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing professionals in Columbus. Even when I was exhausted, I kept going, trusting that I’m on the right path.

So, when the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, I won’t just be welcoming 2025—I’ll be celebrating myself.

I’ll raise a glass to the strength I discovered within myself. Even on my toughest days, I chose to believe that great things were on the horizon. Now, I’m ready to embrace everything that’s coming my way.

Choosing My Word for 2025

Let’s be real, 2024 has been tough, so my word for 2025 is rejuvenate. It’s my year to heal—rediscovering energy, freshness, and joy in everything—personal growth, relationships, and everyday moments.

I’ve been making small changes, like stepping away from my computer at night, curling up with my dog, and enjoying the moment. I’m also trying not to Google everything, like SEO, what my dog can/can’t eat, or how to live a non-toxic lifestyle. It’s been a little but important step toward giving myself some real downtime.

Cheers to the New Year

Here’s to 2025! A year to rejuvenate—like a glow-up for the soul. It’s time to prioritize my mental health, choose peace over stress, and fill my life with things that truly energize me. I’m all about balance this year and making time for what matters most—starting with me.

And cheers to you too. To all of us who keep pushing forward, even when it feels tough, I want you to know how proud I am of you. You’re doing amazing.

Life brings its challenges, but what truly matters is how we turn them into something beautiful. As I reflect on 2024, I want to thank my incredible clients.

You made every wedding special, and your trust made it all possible. I’m beyond grateful to have been part of such beautiful moments.

Let’s make 2025 a year of self-love and growth. Let’s rest, recover, and embrace everything we’ve learned so far.

To all my 2025 bride babes, I am so freakin’ excited for what’s to come. Let’s get you married and create the day of your dreams! I am truly lucky to be surrounded by so much love and passion in what I do.

Here’s to another year of making magic happen!
